About the role

We just figured out our sales motion. It works, it's repeatable, and now we need the people to run it. This is one of our first two sales hires, which means you'll set the bar for what good looks like here.

You'll own a full cycle — from first call to closed contract — selling Cobalt to AI health tech companies. The pipeline is real, the product wins on demos, and the playbook is built. We need someone who can run it hard and make it better as they go. This isn't a traditional AE role. You'll use AI everywhere (research, outbound, demos, follow-up) and you'll build the tooling and content you wish existed. What you’ll do

  • Own full-cycle sales into AI health tech companies, from first touch to signed contract
  • Run technical demos that show why Cobalt wins, not just what it does
  • Build outbound sequences, research workflows, and follow-up systems with AI in the loop
  • Refine the playbook in real time — every deal should make the next one better
  • Partner with engineering on objections, gaps, and what we should build next

What we’re looking for

  • 3+ years closing B2B software, preferably to technical buyers or developers
  • You've hit quota in a fast-moving, early-stage environment — not just at a mature org living off inbound
  • AI-native. You use AI in your daily workflow and you'd rather build a script than open a spreadsheet
  • Technical enough to demo an API product without a sales engineer in the room
  • Hungry, fast, autonomous. You don't wait for leads or process to be handed to you

Nice to have

  • +Background selling into health tech, infrastructure, or developer tools
  • +You've been a founding AE before
  • +Experience with technical content, demo engineering, or sales automation
