About Cobalt

Cobalt is the infrastructure layer that makes healthcare AI possible. Dozens of high-growth companies rely on us as core infrastructure. We’re the reason their products can connect to healthcare systems at all. When they need to move fast, we’re the team they call.

We’ve built this with a lean, elite team that punches way above its weight. No bloat, no layers, no passengers. Every person here has outsized impact, and we intend to keep it that way as we scale. If you want to do the best work of your career at a company that’s growing fast and building something that actually matters, keep reading.

About the role

Cobalt is a unified API, not a services company. But our larger customers operate in complex environments with procurement teams, security reviews, compliance requirements, and legacy systems. They need someone who can show them exactly how our standard product fits into their world.

You'll be the technical expert in enterprise deals. Not building custom integrations, but helping technical buyers understand how Cobalt works, how it fits their architecture, and why they don't need the custom approach they're used to buying. You'll navigate security reviews, answer deep technical questions, and get deals across the finish line. The product does the work. You make sure the right people believe it.

What you’ll do

  • Be the technical lead in enterprise sales cycles, from first call to close
  • Help prospective customers map Cobalt's API to their existing architecture and workflows
  • Run security reviews, compliance evaluations, and technical due diligence
  • Build and maintain technical collateral: integration guides, architecture references, FAQs
  • Partner with product and engineering to translate enterprise feedback into roadmap input

What we’re looking for

  • 4+ years in solutions architecture, sales engineering, or technical pre-sales
  • You can explain a standardized API product to buyers who are used to custom solutions
  • Experience navigating enterprise procurement, security, and compliance processes
  • You can whiteboard how a product fits into a customer's stack and present it to a CTO
  • Strong project management instincts. You keep complex deals on track

Nice to have

  • +Healthcare industry experience
  • +Experience at a developer tools, API, or infrastructure company
  • +Familiarity with HIPAA, SOC 2, and BAA processes
What we offer
Competitive salary + meaningful equity
Full health, dental, and vision coverage
Unlimited PTO (we actually use it)
Remote-first, work from anywhere
Latest tools and hardware
